We are Communists

Founded in 1919, the Communist Party of the United States of America has a century-long history of fighting for workers, racial minorities, immigrants, women, and the LGBTQ+ community.

As the Virginia District of the Communist Party, our task is to include members of these communities, identify their struggles, join with them, and lead them in the great struggle against capitalist exploitation.

Mission Statement

In order to meet the robust and diverse needs of the different geographic and socioeconomic regions within the United States, our goal is to act on the Program and Constitution of the Communist Party specifically within the Commonwealth of Virginia by:

• Furthering Marxist-Leninist education both within the ranks of the Party and the greater population of this Commonwealth, with a particular view towards sharing educational information and building our coalition with working class Virginians.
• Improving Club, District, and Party-wide communication and organization through the centralized dissemination of important information, news, calls to action, etc. as they relate to this Commonwealth. 
• Supporting the Democratic Centralist tendency of the Party by raising up the voices of comrades and workers within this Commonwealth. 
• To see to it that the specific conditions, contradictions, and needs of the workers and Party members of this Commonwealth are thoroughly analyzed, properly understood, and widely pursued with the full vigor of the Communist Party and its allies. 

Social Media While we focus our efforts locally, in the streets and in our communities, some of us engage in social media.
