What we’ve been doing
Our head writer took a break in writing about our work but the we did not take a break from our work! This summer we participated in actions to abolish ICE, the Southern Worker’s Action Summit, expanded the Tidewater Food Program to a second day and location, expanded the Appalachian club, continued working with the Richmond Tenant’s Union, and expanded NoVA’s efforts feeding the houseless in support of Reston Strong. We also held our first-ever District Retreat to exchange skills across clubs and spend time together to just live communally together for a weekend. Finally, we launched the Prison Pen Pal Program where we connect people inside and outside prison walls.

What we’ve been reading
Our clubs are reading Lenin’s Imperialism, the Highest Stage of Capitalism and State and Revolution. We have continued our successful internal education work and learned together about Praxis, Communist History, Scientific Socialism, Internationalism and Intersectionality, Commandism/Tailism, Socialist Economics, Labor History, and Imperialism.
