What we’ve been doing
We’ve been busy onboarding new members in Appalachia and started a book club, Piedmont has continued supporting tenants rights and are starting to expand their reach and build local coalitions, NoVA has continued to partner with Reston Strong to support feeding the houseless and expanding our ties to other awesome local orgs like SURJ and VASEN, and Tidewater has not only expanded their food program but also started assisting local unionization efforts in fighting right to work. We all also have been having our elections and are excited to hit the ground running in 2026!
What we’ve been reading
Our clubs have been reading Principles of Communism by Engels, Imperialism by Lenin and American Trade Unionism by William Z Foster.
Our education program wrapped up our successful 2025 program by learning about socialist experiments in particular in Laos and the GDR, how socialist transitions have occurred worldwide, and important errors and mistakes made by past revolutions that we can learn from. We also discussed important topics like Dual Power, the State, Imperialism, Fascism, Socialist Economics, and Multipolarity, and even got into the weeds of Trotskyism. Our education meetings are open to fellow travelers so please reach out to your local club or our email address if you’re interested in learning more about these types of topics!
What we’ve been writing
We have several articles cooking in our chats, and an excellent article on Virginia’s elections in People’s Worlds you can read here:
