What we’ve been doing
All of our clubs had our yearly elections and each completed a plan of work. We do this process yearly to make goals for the year and review what happened last year. As Marxist-Leninists, we are scientific socialists and we take this time to reflect on the experiments we did last year, what worked, and what needs improvement in the year to come. We’ve also had a huge number of new applicants and several new comrades have joined our ranks: welcome, comrades!
Materially, all of our clubs have been active in the ICE out of VA coalition work across the state and building the united front against fascism, everywhere.
Tidewater is working hard on finding new avenues of donations for their food+ program. If you’d like to donate to provide food, toiletries, and warm items for people experiencing homelessness you can send funds using venmo or cashapp @vacpusa. Please say “Tidewater” in the description. 100% goes towards items for un-housed folks.
What we’ve been reading and learning
Our clubs have been reading American Trade Unionism by William Z Foster and the new Party Program together.
Our education program for 2026 is in full swing! This year we re-structured a bit and now have three classes a week:
- Sunday classes are open to all who wish to attend, and are generally oriented more towards newer people and theoretical aspects of Marxist education. If you’re interested in the party and not yet sure if you want to join, this is the place for you! To get access to the classes, fill out the Virginia join form and let us know in the comments that you’re only interested in education.
- Tuesday classes cover technology, computing, and problem solving. We learn together about computational basics from an AI/machine learning expert comrade and together find ways to use and create tools to make organizing easier.
- Thursday classes are oriented towards cadre development and building political and organizational skills.
We started mid-month, but already have covered: intro to political philosophy; intro to political economy (reading); information processing and computers 101 (reading); flowcharts for problem solving, abstraction, and documentation; computer materialism and operating systems.
What we’ve been writing
We want to highlight this coalition statement against ICE in the DMV
