What we’ve been doing
All of our clubs have been busy working hard to reinforce and push forward our coalition work fighting fascism and building class consciousness, and gearing up for what fall may have in store. We also attended the March on Washington along with comrades from across the country.
Tidewater: Check out their socials where you can keep up with their great work. This month they’ve continued their DeFLOCK Norfolk work and held their successful food program feeding folks experiencing houselessness. We also welcomed new members!
NoVA has continued working with Reston Strong and deICE and deFLOCK campaigns including ICE out of Loudon, ICE out of Alexandria, and deFLOCK ALX coalitions. We also welcomed a new member! At Reston Strong we are helping keep the doors open to the community closet while the regular leads travel. come say hi and get what you need Sundays at 11a-1p at the closet next to the ReMakery!
Piedmont has continued working with RVA community fridges, supporting the Richmond Tenants Union, and supporting workers at UVA.
What we’ve been reading
Our clubs have been reading Hammer and Hoe, How to Be a Good Communist, Wretched of the Earth.. In our education classes, we have discussed learning from the masses, revolutionary discipline, productive forces and the means of production, international solidarity, and Marxist analysis.
What we’ve been writing
Comrade Jonathan wrote two companion articles: one on how ICE operates in VA and the legislation that could limit it, as well as how our communities are opposing ICE action in VA. Keep an eye out this month for a piece specifically on the successes in Loudon and how you can help!
