What we’ve been doing

All of our clubs participated in May Day activities. In NoVA we met with comrades in New Virginia Majority and got together to complete a large project clearing out Reston Strong for floor refinishing. Tidewater spent time in community with DSA and IWW. Piedmont comrades passed out party literature at a May Day event in Charlottesville. All of us prioritized building community and class consciousness.

Tidewater club has had a busy May! Check out their socials where you can see them speak at Norfolk City Council meetings and keep up with their great work. Just this month they’ve launched a new coalition to DeFLOCK Norfolk, supported local REI unionization efforts, and held their successful food program feeding houseless folks.

NoVA has continued working with Reston Strong and deICE campaigns including ICE out of Loudon and ICE out of Alexandria by speaking at city council meetings and participating in coalition work. NoVA is also trying to determine how to best spend our energy canvassing so we can better understand the needs of our neighbors and meet people where they are.

Piedmont has been deepening community ties by leading unionization efforts, working with RVA community fridges, and continuing to support the Richmond Tenants Union.
